Matthew Cunningham Memorial Scholarship Fund

Please join me in congratulating Legend Wilkinson, the 2024 recipient of the Matthew Cunningham Memorial Scholarship! Legend is a 2024 graduate of Butler Area High School and will be attending Slippery Rock University majoring in Environmental Science.

Legend grew up enjoying the natural resources of Western PA. He is an avid fisherman and kayaker. He has a strong interest in environmental hydrology. Over the past few years he kayaked large sections of the Connoquenessing Creek and saw first-hand the effects that industrialized pollution had on the waterways. Legend is passionate about raising awareness of and developing effective, approachable, and economically sound solutions to environmental destruction.

Best of luck to Legend in his future endeavors!  His future in sustainability is bright.
